2009 Pinot Noir

A single vineyard Pinot expressing its terroir from a pair of Dijon clones on a low-yield 2 ton/acre vineyard. Pressed at dryness into French oak barrels (33% new). Earthy fresh dark fruit aromatics. The palate is medium body, flavors of plum with a hint of chocolate. Vibrant acidity with alcohol of 14.1 % makes this a wine pairing that works well with gently spiced, heavier fish and meat dishes.

This Pinot Gris wine is sourced from a 1300 vine, 1 acre block in the vineyard. Minimal winemaking amendments used, no tannins added. The style is fruit forwardwith pear-apple-banana aromas and melon flavor. Clear, light and crisp, it is extremely refreshing. Bottled March 2011, expect some additional weight with aging.
